dialogue and Democracy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Representing the Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece, Mr.<br \/>\nSergios Voilas, permanent research associate, and on the occasion of<br \/>\ncombating Antisemitism and Islamophobia phenomena and how and to what<br \/>\nextent they are affecting our modern democracies, on the 11th of<br \/>\nFebruary 2023 presented in a special workshop \u2013 training that took place<br \/>\nin Athens, the important role that religious leaders play in<br \/>\ninterreligious dialogue and the significance of dialogue for the<br \/>\nresolution of social conflicts.<br \/>\nIn particular, material from the <a href=\"https:\/\/combatantisemitism.org\/\">Combat Antisemitism Movement<\/a> was<br \/>\npresented on the issue of contemporary Antisemitism, while on phenomena<br \/>\nof Islamophobia, how peaceful coexistence works in the region of Thrace<br \/>\nand the important role of local Hierarchs was highlighted with examples.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop on democracy and dialogue issues was organized by the<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/simeio.org.gr\/en\">Signal researching and confronting the far right<\/a> and was attended by<br \/>\nsecondary and primary school teachers, as well as teachers from Second<br \/>\nChance Schools, psychologists and workers in refugee shelters.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\"
