{"id":2258,"date":"2024-05-10T11:22:42","date_gmt":"2024-05-10T09:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/intero.gr\/?p=2258"},"modified":"2024-05-14T11:29:31","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T09:29:31","slug":"the-interorthodox-centre-in-the-holy-metropolis-of-belgium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/intero.gr\/?p=2258&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"The Interorthodox Centre in the Holy Metropolis of Belgium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 10th 2024, the scientific team of the Interorthodox Centre of the<br \/>\nChurch of Greece had a meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan of Belgium<br \/>\nand Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg Mr. Athenagoras in<br \/>\nBrussels.<br \/>\nThe group consisting of: Mrs. Kalliopi Mavragka, Mr. Christos Nasios and<br \/>\nMr. Sergios Voilas, after conveying the Resurrection wishes of the<br \/>\nDirector of the Interorthodox Centre, His Eminence Metropolitan of<br \/>\nThermopylae Mr. Ioannis, to His Eminence Metropolitan of Belgium Mr.<br \/>\nAthenagoras, informed him for the actions of the Centre in the context<br \/>\nof the implementation of European programs.<br \/>\nAlso, the officials of the Interorthodox Centre informed His Eminence of<br \/>\nBelgium about the educational activities that the Interorthodox Centre<br \/>\nfor more than a decade runs in the axis of educational activities, while<br \/>\nthey duly announced its participation in a new European program<br \/>\nregarding interfaith dialogue and the peaceful coexistence of Abrahamic<br \/>\nreligions within the framework of the European Union.<br \/>\nSubsequently, the perspective and participation of the Interorthodox<br \/>\nCentre in the &#8220;Committee of Representations of the Orthodox Churches to<br \/>\nthe European Union&#8221; (CROCEU), whose President is, His Eminence the<br \/>\nMetropolitan of Belgium, was discussed.<br \/>\nFinally, the delegation of the Interorthodox Centre of the Church of<br \/>\nGreece had the blessing to discuss with His Eminence Mr. Athenagoras<br \/>\nabout the historical testimony of Orthodoxy in Belgium and the<br \/>\nNetherlands and to be guided around the premises of the Holy Metropolis<br \/>\nof Belgium and the parish of Agia Marina.
