{"id":2461,"date":"2025-04-03T12:38:52","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T10:38:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/intero.gr\/?p=2461"},"modified":"2025-06-12T12:46:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-12T10:46:16","slug":"2nd-civil-society-forum-combating-antisemitism-and-fostering-jewish-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/intero.gr\/?p=2461&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"2nd Civil Society Forum: \u201cCombating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece participated in the 2nd<br \/>\nCivil Society Forum, which took place on 1 \u2013 2 April 2025 in Brussels<br \/>\nand was organized by the European Union.<br \/>\nThe Forum aimed to strengthen active cooperation between civil society<br \/>\norganizations, in order to create networks, to exchange ideas and<br \/>\ndevelop more specifically joint actions to combat Antisemitism, for<br \/>\nHolocaust remembrance and active participation in education.<br \/>\nRepresentatives of European and international organizations,<br \/>\nrepresentatives of EU institutions, experts and academics participated<br \/>\nin the event, with the aim of bridging differences, promoting dialogue,<br \/>\ncreating synergies and inspiring new joint initiatives for a Europe free<br \/>\nfrom Antisemitism and hate speech.<br \/>\nOn behalf of the Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece, Mr.<br \/>\nSergios Voilas participated in the Forum. He represented the<br \/>\nInterorthodox Centre in the proceedings of the conference, and had the<br \/>\nopportunity to meet with Ms. Katharina von Schnurbein, Coordinator of<br \/>\nthe European Commission for Combating Antisemitism and Promoting Jewish<br \/>\nLife.
