of the educational project on Combating Antisemitism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece has successfully completed the implementation of an innovative interreligious and intercultural educational project focused on combating antisemitism, within the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/against-antisemitism.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">EPNA<\/a> microgrant programme.<br \/>\nThe aim of the project was to strengthen German\u2013Greek cooperation in addressing contemporary manifestations of antisemitism in education and society, and to foster sustainable dialogue between Christian and Jewish institutions.<br \/>\nThe project was carried out in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sabra-jgd.de\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\">SABRA \u2013 Antisemitism Prevention and Empowerment<\/a>, a specialized organisation based in Germany.<br \/>\nThe programme was implemented in two phases:<br \/>\nStudy visit in D\u00fcsseldorf (Germany), including training sessions, professional exchange with experts, and visits to Jewish institutions and sites of memory.<br \/>\nTwo-day workshop and educational visits in Athens, engaging 30 educators and clergy members in training on the history of antisemitism, Christian theological perspectives, the role of the Church of Greece, and the contemporary challenges present in Greek school environments.<br \/>\nThe programme concluded with visits to the Jewish Museum of Greece, the synagogues of Athens, the Jewish Community of Athens and the Holocaust Memorial, guided by the Rabbi Gabriel Negrin.<br \/>\nThe successful implementation of this initiative highlights the importance of cross-national and interfaith collaboration in promoting a culture of memory, strengthening democratic values, and supporting educators in addressing antisemitism in their daily work.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
