{"id":660,"date":"2018-08-09T10:46:19","date_gmt":"2018-08-09T08:46:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/intero.gr\/?p=660"},"modified":"2018-08-09T10:46:19","modified_gmt":"2018-08-09T08:46:19","slug":"a-greek-french-educational-project-focused-on-teaching-and-learning-the-history-of-holocaust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/intero.gr\/?p=660&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"A Greek-French educational project focused on teaching and learning the history of Holocaust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE INTERORTHODOX CENTRE OF THE CHURCH OF GREECE, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yahadinunum.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">YAHAD-IN UNUM<\/a>, FRANCE, ARE OFFERING THE CHANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN A JOINT GREEK-FRENCH EDUCATIONAL PROJECT FOCUSED ON TEACHING AND LEARNING THE HISTORY OF HOLOCAUST<\/p>\n<p>SEMINAR WILL BE HELD AT THE INTERORTHODOX CENTRE OF THE CHURCH OF GREECE IN ATHENS ON OCTOBER 13-14, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>A 2-day teacher training seminar focused on the theme \u201cHOLOCAUST BY BULLETS IN THE OCCUPIED SOVIET TERRITORIES\u201d is based on a unique methodology &#8211; \u201cLearn, Teach, Apply\u201d -created by YIU.<br \/>\n The workshop offers a condensed historical overview of this unknown chapter of Holocaust history and provides teachers with practical educational tools to be used in classrooms. The emphasis is put on studying and teaching the Holocaust by Bullets as a crime and on making connections with today\u2019s violence and human rights violations.<br \/>\n TARGET GROUP AND SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS<br \/>\nTeachers of history of Greek secondary and high schools and graduate students of historical and pedagogical faculties with teaching experience, specializing in the history of the Holocaust, will be selected on a competitive basis to participate in the program.<br \/>\nTo participate in the project please complete an <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1F62sT5vf3t4xLrc57nOIWzUNtK5DuFeYOnrohlAckyY\/viewform?edit_requested=true\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">online application<\/a>.<br \/>\nApplication deadline: September 10, 2018.<br \/>\nParticipants will be notified about the admission results by September 21, 2018.<br \/>\nThe seminar will take place in ENGLISH.<br \/>\nThe organizers provide a round-trip economy-class ticket from your home town to Athens (under the condition of 100% attendance of the event).
